History & Background

1948

Established in Naga City, Camarines Sur, by the Diocese of Nueva Caceres to provide Catholic higher education in the heart of the Bicol region.

1968

Nueva Caceres College was elevated to University of Nueva Caceres, becoming one of the most prominent Catholic universities in the Bicol region.

1980

UNC’s engineering programs grew substantially, producing engineers who would serve the Bicol region’s infrastructure development.

1992

UNC’s College of Law established itself as one of the top law schools outside Metro Manila, producing bar topnotchers and legal professionals.

2010
