Sorsogon State University (SorSU, formerly Sorsogon State College) is a public state university in Sorsogon City. Established in 1907, it is the premier state university in Sorsogon province and a key institution in the Bicol region.

SorSU offers programs in engineering, education, agriculture, and business. It holds CHED recognition and is committed to research and extension services for the communities of southern Bicol.

The institution gained collegiate status with an expanded mandate covering education, engineering, and the sciences.

2001

SSC expanded with satellite campuses across Sorsogon province to improve educational access.

2017
