About the School
Mapúa University is a private non-sectarian university on Muralla Street in Intramuros, Manila. Founded in 1925 by Don Tomás Mapúa, it was the first school in the Philippines to offer a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
Mapúa holds ABET accreditation (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) for several of its engineering programs — making it one of the few ABET-accredited institutions in Southeast Asia. It also holds CHED Autonomous status.
