Caraga State University (CarSU) is a public state university in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. Established in 1978, it is the premier state university in the Caraga region (CARAGA Administrative Region XIII).
CarSU is recognized as a CHED Center of Excellence in several disciplines and has been expanding its research capabilities in mining, agriculture, and environmental sciences — fields critical to the resource-rich Caraga region.
