Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) is a public state university in Zamboanga City. Established in 1918, it is the largest state university in Western Mindanao and the premier public institution in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
WMSU holds CHED recognition in multiple disciplines and serves as a center for multicultural education in the diverse Zamboanga region, which includes Tausug, Yakan, and Chavacano communities.
