Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) is a public state university in Batac, Ilocos Norte. Established in 1978, it is named after the late Congressman Mariano Marcos and is the premier state university in the Ilocos region.

MMSU is a CHED Center of Excellence in agriculture, engineering, and teacher education. Its campus spans extensive agricultural research lands in the tobacco-growing province of Ilocos Norte.
