About the School

Cebu Normal University (CNU) is a public state university in Cebu City, established in 1902 (renamed in 1998). It is the premier teacher education institution in the Visayas and one of the oldest normal schools in the Philippines.

CNU is a CHED Center of Excellence in Teacher Education and has produced generations of teachers, school administrators, and education leaders throughout the Visayas and Mindanao.

With a growing graduate school and research programs, CNU is expanding beyond teacher education into nursing, arts, and sciences while maintaining its core mission of shaping Filipino educators.
