1907
Established in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija to serve the agricultural development needs of the rice-producing Central Luzon region.
1950
The institution was elevated to collegiate status, expanding its agricultural and veterinary programs.
1964
Central Luzon Agricultural College became Central Luzon State University by Republic Act 4067.
1985
The Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) was established adjacent to CLSU’s campus, deepening the university’s role in national food security.
2010
CLSU was formally recognized as a National Center of Excellence in agricultural sciences by CHED.
Today
CLSU remains the top agricultural university in the Philippines, with 600+ hectares of research farms and livestock centers.
